An Alger County electronic waste collection and recycling event will be held in Chatham, MI on at the Alger County Fairgrounds. See the flyer for accepted e-waste materials and contact info. Superior Watershed Partnership (SWP) and SWP’s Great Lakes Conservation Corps (GLCC) crews will coordinate, publicize, and staff this volunteer recycling event. Items to be collected include office and household electronics (no large appliances) as well as TVs, computer components, and accessories. Currently, there are no established e-waste recycling drop-off sites anywhere in Alger County. In the near future, permanent drop-off sites will be established at locations
that maximize residential participation and encourage proper e-waste recycling throughout Alger County. These efforts are funded in part by grants from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE).
